I keep seeing posts saying AI will take over everything, but honestly I’m not seeing it fully in real life. Yes tools like ChatGPT, Copilot etc are everywhere now, but companies still hiring.

Anyone here actually lost a job because of AI? Or is it just hype?

Not fully hype bro, but also not full replacement. I'm a developer (8 yrs exp), what I see is:

junior roles reduced
productivity increased like crazy
1 dev doing work of 2–3 now

Companies dont say "AI replaced you", they just stop hiring more ppl.

In digital marketing its already happening.

Content writers getting hit badly. Clients now asking:
"why pay 5000 when AI gives article in 5 min?"

But problem is AI content still generic. Google also pushing for helpful content, not just AI spam.

So skilled writers still surviving, low quality ones gone.

Biggest change is not job loss, its job shift.

Earlier:

coder writes everything

Now:

coder + AI = faster output

Same in design, marketing, even video editing.

People who adapt → growing
People who resist → struggling

Feels like NFT hype again tbh 😅

Everyone shouting AI AI AI… but where is real money?

Except big companies like OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, normal people not making that much from AI.

Disagree slightly. There IS money, but not where people think.

Not in "use ChatGPT and earn 1 lakh per day" type nonsense.

Real money in:

automation tools
AI SaaS
niche solutions (like trading bots, analytics etc)

I’m trying AI in stock trading (Indian market).

Using LTP + volume data with ML model. Still not perfect.

AI gives predictions but market behavior unpredictable.

AI is tool, not magic.

Freelancing changed a lot.

Earlier:

clients ask for logo

Now:

they already generated 10 logos using AI, ask me to "improve"

Rates going down 😐

One thing ppl missing — companies dont trust AI fully yet.

Security, privacy, wrong outputs… big issues.

So full automation still far.

As a student this is confusing af 😅

What should we even learn now?

Coding? AI? Or something else?

Learn fundamentals.

AI tools will change, but basics wont:

problem solving
logic
system thinking

If you only depend on AI → replaceable
If you use AI smartly → valuable

+1

Also SEO changing big time:

AI search results (Google SGE type)
less clicks to websites
more direct answers

Blogging is not dead, but its not easy money anymore.

Future looks like:

small teams
high output
AI integrated everywhere

Not jobless world… but definitely different world.

Good insights here. So summary seems like:

AI not fully replacing jobs

but reducing need for more people

skills matter more now

Kinda scary but also opportunity I guess.
