Looking at putting a cobot on our 5-axis. Sales guys are pushing both UR20 and Fanuc CRX-20/25.
Who’s actually running these day to day on mills or mill-turns? Reliability, software, support, ease of teaching new jobs?

We have two UR10e and one CRX-25iA.
UR is still easier to program for simple pick-and-place. The teaching pendant and software just feels more intuitive for operators.
Fanuc CRX feels more industrial and the support network is stronger if something goes wrong. Also seems a bit more rigid when you’re pushing heavier parts.
Both work. If your guys are not robot people, UR is probably less painful to start with. If you already have Fanuc robots in the shop, go CRX for consistency.

CRX for us. Had a couple UR arms before and the Fanuc just feels more solid for 2-shift work. Software has improved a lot the last 2 years too.
One thing nobody mentions: cable management and dress packs. Budget extra for good ones or you’ll be fixing broken cables every few months.
