Calibrate whenever you first install them and then periodically (every 3-6 months depending on application). For temp sensors use ice water (0°c) and boiling water (100°c) as reference points. For humidity you can use salt solutions to create known humidity levels. The 2-3 degree difference could also be due to poor thermal coupling - make sure the sensors are properly mounted and not affected by heat from electronics or sunlight. Cheap sensors also just have higher variance, consider upgrading if accuracy is critical.

Working with analog sensors (temp, humidity, light) and getting inconsistent readings. How often should sensors be calibrated? And whats the best way to do it? Some of my temp sensors show differences of 2-3 degrees celsius even though they're in the same location.
